Overview

A NEO-6M gets position and a SIM800L texts a map link when it receives an SMS. Needs a 2G-capable SIM and a supply that can deliver 2 A peaks.

Wire the GPS
NEO-6M TX/RX to software-serial pins; test outdoors for a first fix.
Power the GSM module
Use an LM2596 set to about 4.0 V for the SIM800L, with common ground.
Reply to SMS
On a request, read the GPS position and send a Google Maps link.
