Smart Dustbin
A bin lid that opens automatically when you approach.
Overview
An ultrasonic sensor watches for a hand; when something is in range a servo lifts the lid, then closes it.
Build Steps
Mount the sensor
Fix the HC-SR04 at the front of the bin.
Attach the servo
Mount it near the hinge with a link arm to the lid.
Write the trigger
Under about 30 cm, open, wait, close.
Power it
Use a 5 V supply of at least 1 A with common ground.
