Automatic Pet Feeder
Open a servo gate on a schedule to drop food into a bowl.
Overview
A DS3231 keeps the time; at each meal the servo rotates a gate in the hopper, dispensing a measured portion before closing again.
Build Steps
Make the hopper
Use a clean container with a slotted gate; the slot size sets the portion per opening.
Mount the servo
Fix the SG90 to the gate with a horn arm so a quarter turn opens and closes it fully.
Set meal times
Read the RTC each minute; when the hour and minute match, open the gate for one second, then close.
Add feedback
Beep before each meal and keep a daily count so you can check it is feeding correctly.
