Remote-Controlled Gate Lock
Open a solenoid gate lock from a 433 MHz keyfob.

Overview
A 433 MHz receiver decodes the keyfob and the board energises a push-pull solenoid for a few seconds. Fail-secure behaviour keeps the gate locked without power.
Build Steps
Wire the receiver
The receiver's data pin goes to an interrupt-capable pin; power it from 5 V with the antenna straightened out.
Decode the remote
Learn the keyfob's code with a radio library and ignore repeats while a button is held.
Drive the solenoid
Switch it through a relay or MOSFET with a flyback diode, and hold it open for three seconds.
Mount the hardware
Bolt the solenoid so the tongue clears the strike, and box the electronics away from rain.
